How I Named My Brand

When working with clients to create their branding and websites, a favorite of mine is when they share how they came up with their name and any special meaning behind it.

There have been those that combined favorite things, or their children's names, what they do or their industry—I've even seen puns and sayings turned into site titles. No matter what they are or where they came from, I love the story. So how did I come up with mine? "Kiki” is what my family calls me, specifically my adorable nephew and niece. (I mean…look at them.) My grandfather also called my mother Kiki when she was younger, so it’s a special tie to her and him as well. (My creative side absolutely comes from them.) The “and Co.” may seem like an odd choice for a studio of one, but for me it’s a nod to the collaboration that happens between the client and myself. With each project, we work as a team to create something personal, beautiful and unique. The “Co.” represents that, and is where the real magic happens.
